Introduction

Accounting Dashboard allows you to view list of all active trades with their economics and hedge designation information. It also provides functionalities to create accounting treatments and run accounting, view Journal entries and regression test results.  The page can be filtered for specific trades or groups of trades, and the results can be exported to excel. 

 

From the welcome page, navigate to Accounting > Accounting Dashboard: 

 

 

This dashboard page consists of important features that will help you navigate the accounting processes: 

  • Search Bar: search for trades from the queue 
  • Accounting (MT, JE, ET):  identifies trades that require accounting run (journal entries or measurement test) and runs full period-end processes 
  • Take Action: run or edit accounting treatments, generate a new Hedge Designation Memo, or run journal entries/tests 
  • Excel Downloader: allows you to download these trades onto an excel sheet 
  • Grouping Drop Down Menu: this drop-down menu allows you to filter through the trades with a variety of options
  • Settings Module: allows you to rearrange/include/exclude the visible columns of the dashboard queue 
  • Status: allows you to filter the trades by their status; all, matured, active, or terminated 
  • Designation: allows you to filter the trades by their designation; all, cash flow, fair value or mark to market
  • Pre-defined Queries: allows you to filter the trades by a pre-defined query; matured trades without final entries, terminated trades without termination entries, or trades which require accounting
  • Status of: allows you to filter trades by status of active, matured, or terminated as of a specific date  

The rest of the side menu of the Accounting Dashboard page displays menu options that are useful for the accounting workflow, but are explained in more detail in other help documents. On the left side menu you will see: 

  • Review and Approve Entities: allows you to add, edit, delete, download, review or approve journal entries for a specific period 
  • Review and Approve Tests: allows you to download, review approve or delete effectiveness test for the specific period 
  • JE/ET Workflow Status: allows you to check the status of journal entries and effectiveness tests 
  • Treatment Workflow Status: provides you to check the status of the treatment workflow 
  • Browse Transaction Details: allows you to browse the details of all or specific sub set of the transactions 
  • HDM Templates: prompts you to HDM templates and allows to add, edit, or delete templates 
  • Manage P&L Templates: allows you to create and manage P&L templates 



Sorting and Filtering

On the dashboard page, there are multiple areas that you can manipulate to filter through the trade data, pointed out below: 

  • You can use the side menu options to filter by status, designation, and pre-defined queries
  • Or press on a specific column and the table will organize numerically or alphabetically from that category
  • You can also organize through selecting to view a certain group 
  • Or you can simply search for a specific transaction in the search bar

Module Settings

 To get to the settings of the dashboard page, select the Table Settings icon on the top menu bar:

 

 

After selecting table settings, the following menu will pop up: 

 

 

From here, there are multiple ways you can change the columns of the dashboard table to your preferences: 

  • You can alter the columns by clicking the eye icon to add column titles, or the eye icon with a “/” to remove column titles from the list 
  • To search for a specific column that you would like to add or delete, use the provided search bar
  • If you would like to restore the selection of columns to the ChathamDirect default settings, you can click Restore Defaults on the top of the menu 
  • When you are finished and the correct columns are chosen based off your preferences, press Apply Changes
