Access available HDM templates
Introduction
HDM Templates allows users to create standard templates based on hedging accounting strategies. HDM templates once created can be applied to multiple trades in bulk. HDM template language is frequently updated to keep abreast with the latest FASB pronouncements or for changes in hedge accounting strategy.
Access available HDM templates
From the welcome page, navigate to Accounting > Accounting Dashboard: 
From this dashboard page, navigate to the left side menu and select HDM Templates:
On this page you have three options from the top bar:
- Plus (+) Sign - Add a New Template
- i - Further information on this table
- Search Bar – search HDM templates that have already been created
HDM Templates can also be edited on an individual basis:
- Pencil – Edit the template
- Arrow – Download the template
- Trash Can – Delete the template
Add a new HDM template
From this page, you can create a new HDM Template. Select the Plus (+) sign:
There are a few fields required to create a new HDM Template:
- Name – Name the template
- Description – provide additional details to describe the template and provide context for the types of strategies in which it applies
- Products – Select the products which are applicable for the HDM template. There is a wide range of options, scroll down to see the entire list
Once the required fields have been filled in, drag and drop the HDM into the box on the right. Alternatively, you can click into the box to pull up the file explorer:
Finally, select the Save button to ensure your HDM template is available for use
Edit an HDM template
From this page, you can edit an HDM Template. Select the pencil icon:
From here users have the option to edit Name, Description, and Products:
To complete, select the Save button to ensure your edited HDM template is available for use.
Templatize an HDM
To create an HDM template, start by downloading the list of HDM Tags.
HDM Tags can also be found here:
Once the HDM Tags have been downloaded, replace the words or strings of words in your HDM with the entirety of the HDM Tag. For example, a sponsor’s legal entity name (TEST Sponsor, inc.) should be replaced with “«SponsorLEName»”. Ensure that the “«" and "»” are included.

Once the trade tags are added to the HDM template, system will update all the trade economics when the HDM template is run for the trade. Chatham can assist in HDM tags set up.
